I've been so busy with grad school and work that I'm not sure I've been able to post quality material or promote it.<br /><br />As for the "matter-of-factness" of fairy tales, I'm one who can attest to having my own reaction to the stories because of it. For Grimm's story "The Frog King", many people like to point out the bit where the princess throws the frog at a wall before it changes to a handsome prince. This, to many, as seen as one of those dark, grim truths of the Brothers Grimm. I had a different reaction when I first read it. I laughed. The frog was being annoying so I didn't feel too sorry for it. I saw it as slapstick. Like something out of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
